IT’S FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!!
Well ok, it’s high school football time which, to me, is just as exciting as college in a lot of ways. Going to watch football under the Friday night lights is always a treat. Many love watching these boys of fall take the field in full pads and ready to battle their way to victory. But what if the quarterback decided to play without any pads or a helmet? What do you think would happen? How long would he make it?
Football is very similar to our Christian life. Players take the field with their pads on and us Christians should take on each day with our armor of God. The world has been trying to tackle Christians for many years and the competition gets harder with each day. If we take on each day unprepared (or unwilling to stand up for God) then we will easily be defeated just like the quarterback with no pads. The Devil has his team placed all over the world and his team comes at us in many ways. We need to be prepared to battle and battle hard against his team and bring the victory back to God’s team, our team!
