Have you ever been driving down the road and look out of your window and see a shoe on the side of the road? A single shoe, with no match around. Did you question why it was there? How it got there? Better yet, did you ever wonder if it would make it back home again?
What about with your life? Have you been driving alone, stuck in traffic with plenty of time to think about your life? Have you ever wondered how in the world you got where you are? Did you feel alone, like the shoe on the side of the road? Were you curious on how you could get back?
I believe we all have felt like this at one point or another. Some of us may feel that way now, lost in the world with no help to get back to where you need to be. The good thing is that there is always a way back to where you belong. You are a child of God and his door is always opened for return visits. He will not ignore the doorbell. If you knock, he will answer. God forgives all but it is up to you to realize that you are alone, lost, and need help. The shoe is stuck out there forever unless someone comes along and picks up it. Luckily for us, we have that person always waiting to pick us up. God is Good, All the Time.
