The past week we have seen the Facebook and Instagram timelines flooded with pictures from many of the half dozen concerts that were around Nashville all weekend. People sharing these experiences with others all over the world. They were proud as they posted these images of these long lasting memories they have created from a couple of hours of entertainment. It is fun to see the pictures and happy to see these people having a good time.
Why don’t we post the same kind of things about or Christian walk? Yes, you do see the flood of camp pictures that come in each summer but besides that, there isn’t much being shared. You don’t see selfies with Christian brothers and sisters after worship, you don’t see many people checking into their church building each service, and you don’t see the overwhelming excitement in the posts like you do the concerts that were shared. I am as guilty as any (except mine are more sports related). So why don’t we? We should be more excited about spending our eternity with Christ and be more than enthusiastic about sharing His amazing story. A simple share, a post, or a check-in can reach many people in many parts of the country. It’s time we all start putting God first in our life and our timelines. If one post can change the soul of one person, then it is worth it. God is good!
