DO YOU STILL HEAR GOD???
When we became Christians, the day we were baptized, we began to hear God. God spoke to us daily in every single activity that we were involved in. If we went to the store, God spoke to us. If we went out with friends to the mall, God spoke to us. He was always in our ear, speaking to us and letting us know that He is right beside us, ready to fight for us. He was our protector..
God spoke to me for a long time after I became a Christian and let me know that He was there for me. Over the years, the voice of God seemed to fade further and further away. The years leading up to my senior year of high school, I could hear God but only on certain days, mainly Sundays. Then, college came along and the voice of God that spoke to me daily had completely left me. I no longer heard Him saying that he was standing by me and helping me throughout the day. Did God give up on me?
The truth is that God never once stopped telling me that He was walking with me. He never stopped telling me that He was protecting me and that He would guide me down the correct path to get to be with Him. I put God on mute. Slowly from my high school years until college I started turning God’s voice down because it was too loud in my ear. I was shutting Him down because I was wrapped up in other things. God never once gave up on me. He was always there talking to me.
It is hard to admit that I had shut God out of my life. God never gave up. He blessed me with an amazing Christian wife. He has put three amazing kids in my life to give me responsibility over. He has introduced many unbelievable people in our life that we have made permanent relationships with. I started turning God’s voice back up, louder and louder. The more I realized how blessed I was and how amazing God’s love is, the louder God began to speak to me again.
Are you at a point in your life that you don’t hear God any longer? Do you think that God is not talking to you because of somethings you have done? God has not quit talking to you. He has continued to work as He always has. God is a forgiving God. If you are in need to help to turn God’s voice back up in your ear, please let us pray for you. Come worship with the amazing people that we worship with. If you are not in the area, let me know, we can find a great Christian family that would love to have you join them. The love of Christ is the best thing you will ever receive. God is knocking… It’s up to you to answer.
God is Good..
