Starting Over

Do you have those days where you just want to start it all over? You wake up, head to work, and things just seem to fall apart from there? Sometimes it feels like it would be easier just to throw in the towel, go home, go to bed, and give up.

I’ve had days at work where it feels like I walked into a war zone. People coming from different directions, needing different things, and everything is critical. The different circumstances that people present to us on a daily basis can be overwhelming and we just want to quit. Maybe not quit our job but just quit for the day.

What do we do when we are overwhelmed? Most of the time our attitudes diminish and we begin to complain to others about how hard it life has been. I struggle with this a lot and have been trying my best to remain positive and watch my temper when I am faced with difficult situations.

We have all heard the saying “When life gets too hard to stand, kneel”. Why do we not do this more? Give our problems to God! Aren’t we commanded to cast our burdens on the Lord (Psalms 55:22)? If you are stressed because of things that are happening in your life, aren’t we suppose to send our cares and worries to the Lord (1 Peter 5:7)? Why is it so hard for us to admit to God that we need him?

When we need help from someone, let’s start off by turning to God. God is bigger than anything we will be dealt in our life and He is the only one that can help us take care of the situations we are in. If it is a sin that you are dealing with that is causing you to be overwhelmed, confess of those sins and God will forgive you and you can get your life back on the right track. There is nothing too big for God to handle.

Set our minds on things in Heaven, not on worldly issues. If you are struggling, God can help.

God is Good…
