ALLERGY SHOTS

Thursday afternoon I sat inside the allergy clinic while Jayden received his allergy shots. Multiple times a week we come here to do this so eventually, hopefully, he will be allergy free from the dozens of symptoms he has. There seem to always be people here doing the same thing each week. What’s the goal? The goal is to be able to go to someone’s house who has a cat and be able to leave breathing normal… The goal is to be able to play in the grass and get tackled and when you are done you don’t have to run to your inhaler just to make it through the day. The goal is to be healed.

The same thing occurs in our Christian life. Everyone of us have allergies. Allergies that don’t go away, are always haunting us, and give us a difficult time everywhere we go. These allergies are called SIN. Sin has been around since Adam and Eve and will be around until the end of time. We will never be able to knock it out completely but with the right treatments, we can minimize the impact it has on us. The best part of this is that the treatment for our fight against sin is free. Jesus already paid for it and we just have to accept the treatment plan he has specifically laid out in the Bible. The treatments will be difficult at times but you must follow it precisely. Then, when the day comes that the plan ends, you will be able to spend eternity with Him. Sin free…Allergy free… Forever!
