We have officially skipped fall and went straight to winter! Last night I had to put air in the tires. The cold air that came so fast caused the air to quickly leave our tires and required me to top all the tires off to make sure they are safe for Ashley to travel on. The cold air came unexpectedly and we did not prepare for our tires so start losing air so soon.
Our Christian life can be compared to a slowly leaking tire. For months we can be completely full of faith and ready to tackle any situation. Then, suddenly, something happens unexpectedly and we begin to slowly lose our motivation to serve our God. We don’t realize it at first and it can take a while for others to notice. Then, we wake up and we have lost our faith. Our air is now at an all time low in our tire and we can’t drive safely any more. What do we do to get our faith back where it needs to be so we can be on our journey again?
Luckily for us, it isn’t very hard to restore our faith. Just like the leaking tire can be easily fixed with a quick trip to an air compressor… Our faith can be restored with a quick prayer and true repentance. As baptized Christians, we have the ability to come too God when we need Him. No matter how badly beaten we are, we can give our hearts back to Him and He will forgive us.
If you faith resembles a leaking tire, or is already flat, God can help you now. If you need someone to talk to, we are here to listen to you and help you. If you just need a prayer for yourself, or someone else, feel free to let us know. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
God is Good..
