Embrace your Weakness…

2 Corinthians 12:9-10, Paul was suffering from a weakness and he prayed to God for help. He was initially hoping that God would just remove the weakness from him but instead he responded in a different perspective. God challenged Paul to build off of his weakness. Paul had to believe that God’s grace was adequate enough for him.

Weaknesses are a big part of everyone’s life. No matter who you are, what you do, or what you have done in the past, everyone has a weakness. No one wants to be weak so many of us hide it so no one notices.

How many of us struggle to believe that God’s grace is enough for us to overcome all obstacles that are put in our path? First, we must identify and acknowledge our weakness in order to be able to have a chance of using it the way God wants us to. We must embrace our weakness as well. Instead of pondering on our weakness, we need to look at ways we can take this negative aspect and turn it into a way to help others. For us to have strength from God, we must know our weakness.

A lot of you that know me, know that I am a talker. Public speaking is a weakness of mine and I, to this day, struggle with it a lot. I’m not comfortable being up in front a lot of people but I do like to share things. God has allowed me to speak to people just as others do but in a more indirect way. I feel that sharing God’s news through social media posts, blog posts, and things of that nature is one way I have embraced my weakness but still have the strength from God to His news in hopes that one person’s life would eventually be changed.

No matter what your weakness is, God can use it as a strength to help others. Paul stated in verse 10 of 2 Corinthians 12, “When I am weak, then I am strong”.

God is Good.
