Is Your House Clean?

Who loves cleaning house? I know there are some people out there that love cleaning, doing laundry, dusting, and everything else that involves cleaning. I do not like it at all. There are a million other things I would rather do than clean.
Growing up, it was not fun to keep our rooms clean. How many times do you remember your parents going out of town or just out of the house for the day and they gave you one task to accomplish before they return? That one task was to clean the house. They told you they would be home at a certain time and they wanted the house clean.
So, what did you do? Did you start cleaning the house immediately? If you are like me, you thought you knew exactly how long it took the clean up the entire house so you would wait until the last minute to start cleaning. This led to a record, speed demon, cleaning. What would have happened if our parents would have come home early and the house was not cleaned? What if we didn’t know what time they were coming home and we did not start to clean the house?
The same works with our Christian life. We don’t know what time or day Christ will come back, we just know what He will be back. There are multiple verses in the Bible (Revelation 16:15, 1 Thessalonians 5:2,1 Thessalonians 5:4,2 Peter 3:10) that reference the coming of Christ to be like a thief in the night.
If people knew the exact date and time that Christ was going to return, they would not procrastinate following Him and at the last minute turn up their faith in Christ as high as it would go.
Unfortunately, we don’t know the time or day of the Second Coming of Christ. Since we don’t know, we must strive to live in His image, be Christ-like, and be faithful to Him. Let others know about Christ and the blessings He has given you.
Is your “house dirty”? If it is, we have a place that you can come and get help getting clean again. There are great Christian brothers and sisters who would love to have you join the family. Please reach out to us if you are looking for a place to grow closer to Christ.
God is Good.
