Time For Change

The month of December our home congregation, Southern Hills church of Christ, has been hosting a ‘Dig Deep December’ series of sermons on Sunday mornings and evenings. These sermons have been uplifting to many as well as me.

There are moments in your life when you are not a very faithful follower of Christ. Then, there are other times when you are a faithful follower of God. I’m not saying that you aren’t following or you don’t believe in Him, I’m just saying your priorities are out of line a little.

This series of sermons have taught me a lot about different controversial topics of today’s society. Things that the world think are okay to do but they are not biblically correct.

The past few weeks, I have realized that, although I am a faithful follower of Christ, I still have a long way to go to be where I need to be. We may think we are doing enough but when you get a slap in the face from powerful sermons, you realize that there is work to be done.

It is time for me to be a better Christian. It is time for me to be a better husband to my amazing wife. It is time for me to be a better Christian leader to my children. It is time… God has blessed me with an awesome family and a great Christian family. Although I never will be able to repay Him for what He has given me, it is time that I try harder.

I encourage everyone to take a look back at the archived videos on Southern Hills’ Facebook page (or Livestream page) and listen to the sermons that were presented. They will change your life. Also, tune in today as we get to hear another Dig Deep sermon! Services start at 9AM and we look forward to having you join us online or in person.

God is Good.
