This is not my normal post but something that has been bothering me over the past few days…
“A little baby told God, “Hey, I’m kinda scared, Don’t really know if I want to go down there. From here it looks like a little blue ball, That’s a great big place and I’m so small”
“Why can’t I just stay here with you, Did I make you mad, don’t you want me to?”
God said, “Oh, child, of course, I do, But there’s somebody special waiting for you”
So, hush now baby don’t you cry, ‘Cause there’s someone down there waiting, whose only goal in life, Is makin’ sure you’re always gonna be alright a loving angel, tender, tough and strong.
It’s almost time to go and meet your mom.
You’ll never have a better friend or a warmer touch to tuck you in. She’ll kiss your bruises, your bumps, and scrapes, And anytime you hurt, her heart’s gonna break. Now, when she’s talking to you, make sure you listen close ’cause she’s gonna teach you everything You’ll ever need to know. Like how to mind your manners, to love and laugh and dream and she’ll put you on the path That’ll bring you back to Me
So, hush now little baby don’t you cry, ’cause there’s someone down there waiting, whose only goal in life is making sure you’re always gonna be alright. A loving angel, tender, tough and strong come on child…
It’s time to meet your mom.”
The above are lyrics to a Garth Brooks song that was released a few years ago. This is a powerful song of what the conversation between God and a little baby, probably about to be conceived, sitting in Heaven waiting to be sent down to earth to live with the family God picked for it.
No matter the reason a mother becomes pregnant, God picked them. Picked them to be a mother. He picked them to become a family. God placed the baby in the mother’s womb for a reason.
The baby, scared to death of the real world is taking advice from God. Letting God comfort it before it starts its journey to earth.
Then, the journey begins. The baby is placed into its mother’s womb and starts its nine-month journey. 39 weeks later, the mother goes into labor and is rushed to the hospital. Once at the hospital, the baby is ready to come out and then suddenly the mother has a change of heart and does not want her baby. She ends the baby’s journey to earth…
The past few days have been really bothering me. How has our country become a country that supports the killing of babies? Abortion is killing; there is no other way to put it. Ending a life is murder.
What has this poor child done, in the mother’s womb, that would deserve a death sentence?
I simply don’t understand.
Psalms 139:13 – For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
Life doesn’t start when we take our first breath of air on earth. Life started when God began working on us our mother’s womb. If life ends when someone’s heart stops, then it is obvious that life starts when the heart begins to beat. That occurs in the mother’s womb. I don’t know how hard it is for people to understand.
For the people who agree with abortion… Why? What is your real reasoning? How in the world can you live with yourself for killing an innocent child who has not been able to experience its first breath of air on earth? How do you know that that little child is not the blessing you need to make your life complete?
Those who voted to kill these babies will have to answer to Christ one day. They are choosing sin over what is right. Judgment day will be rough for them.
All we can do is pray for those who decide on these horrific decisions. Pray that they wake up and realize what they have implemented is immoral and wrong. We need to pray for these people to come to Christ, repent of all of their sins, and get their life together. They still have an opportunity for eternity but it will take a lot of prayers to get them to change.
Today, pray for New York. Pray for the other states to not follow in the footsteps.
God is Good.
