“Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers.
Remember when you’re talkin’ to the Man upstairs that just because He doesn’t answer doesn’t mean He don’t care, some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers”.
Garth Brooks is one of my favorite singers. Not only does he have the best last name but some of his songs speak directly to me!
Have you ever sat and thought about prayers that God didn’t answer? What would your life be like if God would have answered every one of those prayers? Or what if He would have only answered a couple? Would your life be different?
I had many prayers that I submitted to God when I was younger that, at the time, I thought he was ignoring. What I didn’t really realize is that God knew what that by not answering them my life would be better off. I didn’t sit and think that God may have had different plans for me.
Do we ever thank Him for not answering our prayers? I don’t as much as I should. I would not be living in Spring Hill if God would have answered one of my prayers. I would not be married to my amazing wife if God would have let me move far away from home when I graduated college. I would not have my kids or even the great friends we have established over the years.
God has a plan for us that is better than we can manage ourself. He knows best and sometimes will choose not to answer certain prayers.
Next time you pray and God doesn’t answer like you want Him to, remember that there may be something better planned for you!
When you pray, thank God for all the unanswered prayers that have occurred in your life and have got you where you are today.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Share this page with your friends!!
God is good!
