The Power of God…

It is Sunday! The rain has finally seemed to have slowed down and stopped in many areas. It is colder this morning but will hopefully turn out to be a wonderful day.

Yesterday, we spent a few hours out of the house and around Columbia. Our kids had a few basketball games and we had an open house at our house we are selling so we stayed out for a while. After two of the games, we decided to drive to the floodwaters of Columbia. The Duck River is spilling over the banks of Columbia and turning parks into oversized lakes with rushing waters. Swingsets at the school playground were underwater, pavillions no longer in sight, and even a dam completely underwater.

While we watched the raging waters flowing down the different rivers and creeks we passed through, all we could think about is the awesome power of our God. The flood waters remind all of us of the story of Noah and the Ark and how God had covered the earth with water to start over.

Isn’t it amazing what God can do? If you travel to the mountains in the fall, you can see some of the most beautiful artwork your eyes have ever laid eyes on. And then, occasions like these that are happening all across Tennessee, you can see the awesome power he has within the flood waters.

We have a powerful God. We have an awesome God.

It is Sunday, let’s show Him how much we love Him and how much we appreciate everything that He blesses us with each day. He is the reason we woke up this morning. He is the reason that we have everything that we have.

Let’s worship Him today and give thanks. If you need a place to worship, message me and we can get you a place to go worship. It doesn’t matter where you are located, we have a huge family of Christians that will bring you in and welcome you. If you are in the area, you are welcome to join us as well.

God is Good!
