What an awesome week God blessed us with. What better way to show our appreciation to Him than to head to worship.
I like the term that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama used to describe Christians. They used the term Easter worshippers. At first, I thought it was crazy that they used that term but as I look back at it, I find it perfectly true.
We know Easter as the time that we celebrate and remember the resurrection of Jesus. For that, I would be considered an easter worshipper. But, I’m not an Easter worshipper only on ‘Easter’. I am an Easter worshipper every Sunday. Why? Because like the church in the Bible, we come together on the first day of every week to remember the death, the burial, and the resurrection. We don’t just do it once a year when the calendar falls on a certain day. We do it every week.
Remembering the death, burial, and resurrection helps to keep us focused on Christ and what he does for us and has done for us. If you are sitting at home trying to decide on what you should do today, wake up and go worship our Lord. The one who gave you this day. Join the thousands and thousands of other ‘Easter worshippers’ around the country as we join together to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
If you don’t have a church home and are interested in finding one; we would love to have you join ours.
God is Good…
