Some of us have not been away from our kids for an extended amount of time. For us, we have not been away from all of them at the same time for a long period of time. Five days may not seem long but when you haven’t been away, it can seem like an eternity.
Last night, Ashley went one way to drop Ady Kate off at camp with our church family. I went another way to drop both of the boys off at ministry camp with their friends as well. It is the first time that Ashley and I have been away from all three of our kids at the same time for an extended period. We know the kids are having fun and learning and growing closer to God and their friends. Last night, we sat on the back porch and talked about how quiet it was. After just one full day, we are already missing the craziness that is always bouncing around our home. Day one passed by real slow and a few more nights left to go.
Time seems to be in slow motion sometimes but when we look at the broad range of life, it all happens in the blink of an eye.
Think about your life so far. In the moment, it seems to pass by slowly at times but as you reflect on the past, it all happened so quick.
Time flies… How do you want to reflect back on your life? Do you want to look back and have regrets on why you did or didn’t do things?
We have one shot a life… It will be gone in the blink of an eye. We are only a busy as we allow ourselves to be. Are you going to look back at your life and say that you wish you would have spent more time with God? More time getting to know Him and spreading His word? Will you regret not telling more people about God?
The older we get, the faster time seems to go by. Before you know, your life on earth will be over. If you are waiting for the right time to get your life on track with God, you may be too late. There is no better time than now.
God is Good…
