It is the 4th of July! People all over the country are celebrating the freedoms we have in this great country. Families and friends will gather tonight to watch firework shows in almost every town around.
The fireworks remind us of victory in all of the wars that help us have this freedom. If it were not for the soldiers that went off to war and risk their lives so we could continue to be able to do the things that we do today.
One of the freedoms that we get to enjoy is the freedom to worship God. Jesus died for us to free us from all of our sins. True freedom. With this, we have the opportunity to spend eternity with Him.
Today, while you are enjoying a night of food, fireworks, and fellowship, remember to give God thanks for freedom that no other person will ever be able to give.
Be safe and be responsible. You don’t want to lose your shot at heaven because of something that could be avoided.
