Breathing Treatment

Health problems impact a lot of people in a variety of different ways. Some people have minor problems and some others have major issues that require a lot of maintenance to stay healthy. One of our sons has issues with his breathing. He is allergic to tons of things. One of those is cats. In the past, when we have been around cats, we end up having to stay up the majority of the night and watch his breathing. It gets to the point where an inhaler just doesn’t work good enough to get his breathing back to normal.

When his breathing is at its worst, we have to administer a breathing treatment. The breathing treatment seems to work better because he is getting more medication in his body at a longer period of time. Then, once he is done, it seems like he is instantly healed and everything is back to normal. Without his inhaler and his breathing machine, we would probably have to frequent the ER to get him better when flare-ups occur.

Sometimes our spiritual life can take a turn for the worse. When we are caught up in something that we are not supposed to be in, our spiritual health can quickly be troubled. Christians are allergic to sin. We can’t avoid it but the more we live in it, the worse our health status becomes.

That is why we have the ability to go to Christ as often as we need. He is our breathing treatment. When our life has taken a beating by the sins of the world, God is there for us to run to. In most cases, He is the only one that has the ability to help. Friends and family can be of assistance in many situations but they do not have the ability that God has to make us better.

What do you do when your spiritual health has diminished?

Acts 3:19 – Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Turn to God. Give it all to him. Repent of your sins and start over. Your slate will be clean and you will have a new life to look forward to. If you aren’t a Christian and you need to start a new life with Him, you can do it. You know Christ is the Savoir already. Repent of your sinful life, confess Him, and be baptized today so you can have the chance to live your life with Him on earth as well as in heaven.
