Most places of work give people the opportunity to take sick days. They take these days when they are down with a bug or they may have doctor’s appointments. Some companies even allow their employees to take the days when anyone in their immediate family needs to be at a doctor or are sick.
There are times of the year that people more likely to take sick days than other times of the year. The flu season seems to be very popular for may at work to take off. They may not have the flu but their kids do and they have to be off for a few days to attend to them and make sure they recover quickly.
Taking sick days gives people a chance to quarantine themselves from the world. They can get away for a few days and not worry about anyone being around.
We don’t have sick days with our walk with God. No matter how much we may want a break from Christ, we do not have the ability to do that. Our Christianity is daily, non-stop. It doesn’t matter what event you may be attending, what job you may have, or whatever else may come about; we are always to walk in the way that God wants us to.
Today, as you start off your workweek, remember that you are a child of God. No matter what project you may be working on, you will always be a child of God.
