How often do we encourage each other? When we are at home, do we encourage our kids to do certain things? Do we encourage our spouse? Loving others includes encouraging others.
Right now, we have friends that are going through a tough time in their life. They have been suddenly faced with a life-changing issue that will take a while to get through. When people are faced with these types of things, we need to reach out and encourage them. Show the love of Christ.
We all know people that are struggling. They may be faced with a disease, a divorce, or a death that has put them down emotionally and spiritually. We need to encourage them. Show them that we love them. We should offer to help them do whatever they may need to be done.
1 Thessalonians 5:11: We need to encourage one another and build each other up.
Encouraging can go beyond just helping when someone is sick. We need to encourage our own brothers and sisters in Christ to reach out to people and serve. Encourage them to spread God’s word.
Today, be a light in someone’s life. Say a prayer for them and with them if possible. Tell them you love them. Be Christlike and encourage them.
