Stress can be overwhelming. It can cause us to have poor attitudes towards the people we love. When dealing with stress, we tend to let only the thing that is bothering us weigh on our mind.
We have friends that are going through so much more than we are. From deaths in the family to cancer, their problems are much greater than ours. My advice always to them is to trust in God. God has a plan. The plan may not take you down the path that you want to go down but it will end up in the spot that you need to be. We always want the easy route, the wide road. Unfortunately, that is not the same plan that God has for us.
You may have just been diagnosed with cancer and you don’t know what you will have to endure while your treatments begin. The thought of chemotherapy has your mind in a state that you have never been in before. You don’t know if you will be sick or you will even lose your hair. The thought of the unknown causes you to develop stress levels that you have never experienced. What do you do? Trust God and the plan that He has for you.
I am a strong believer in things happen for a reason. God may be using you and the cancer diagnosis to strengthen your relationship with your spouse, your kids, your friends, and even God Himself. There are many people who come back to Christ after a tragic event happens and live faithfully for Him afterward.
Are you dealing with anything stressful? If you are, God has a plan for you. Remember that always. He knows what your future holds. You must put your trust in Him.
To get a little personal, I am typically the type of person who can easily ‘go with the flow’. I can blow things off pretty easy and let things go. I have to admit, right now I am stressed. I know that God has a plan for us but I am having problems seeing the future to help figure out where He wants us to be.
If you know someone who is experiencing a stressful event in their life, please pray for them. You can even let us know their name and we will add them to our prayer list.
If you are the one that is going through the event, please let us know. We would love to pray for you and with you.
God is Good…
