Concert Night

You just recently heard that your favorite band was coming to town in a few months. It has been years since you have heard them and you call your friends and start to prepare for that night. Tickets go on sale at 10AM and you wait online at the box office site ready to be the first to get your ticket. What ticket do you want? There are thousands of seats to choose from but which one would you choose? If it is general admission tickets, do you get to the arena early so you can rush to the best seat?

We all know that when we want to hear a band or see our favorite sports team play, we want to sit as close to the front as possible. The front rows are the most popular seats in the house when it comes to entertainment.

When it comes to worship services, why is it that there are always more empty seats towards the front than in the back? We don’t see people getting to services early to get the front row, we see the ones that are late trying to find a seat and settling for the front seats. Sitting upfront can make you closer to God!

Our dedication and enthusiasm for Christ need to exceed that of any worldly event. We should be excited to get to worship like we are when we get to go see our favorite football team play. We should be calling our friends and getting them fired up to attend worship with us and praise our God.

Let’s get excited for Christ that way when we get to judgment day, He will be excited to introduce us to the new mansion that has been prepared for us.

It’s Sunday.. Let’s get to church and worship our amazing God. He has blessed us with another beautiful day and what better way to spend it with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

God is Good!

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
