Umbrella

When it rains, what is the first tool that we use to keep us from getting wet? Most of us have one in each vehicle. Our companies tend to give them out often as gifts because they are cheap but serve a purpose. Everyone can use them and benefit from them. If you haven’t already guessed it….it is the umbrella.

The umbrella protects us from getting drenched by rain when we are going from one place to another. When we use it correctly, we remain dry and in most cases clean.

Spiritually, we have an umbrella of protection as well. Wherever God leads us, He is there serving as our umbrella of protection. There are many examples in the Bible where God protects someone. One of the most popular examples is that of David and Goliath. David knew that God would protect him from harm wherever he went. He knew that he could defeat the giant because God was there to protect him.

If you have Christ, you will have a personal protector at all times.

It does not mean that you will not experience difficulties or hard times. It doesn’t mean that there will not be storms of life that will try to wipe you off your feet. But, whatever life throws our way, we will have the protection of the Lord.

Do you have a relationship with God that will give you the level of protection you need? If not, there is no better time than now to get that relationship built.
