Homecoming

Tonight is homecoming at Columbia Academy. Right now, we live on the campus and we have been watching the kids enjoy different dress-up days. Last night, there was a group of girls in the parking lot decorating their class sign to display during the football game tonight. It has been a fun week for the students at CA.

Homecoming for us older folks is also a fun time. It is time we get to go back to our hometown and hang out with some old friends. Often times, there are reunions during homecoming week and people get to see people they haven’t in a long time. You see the excitement as everyone reminisces of old times.

We have another homecoming that we should be looking forward to! A time where we will get to see those who left this life before us. There are many people that have passed on that I hope that I get to see in Heaven. I pray that they will enter the gates and be able to rejoice and celebrate the ultimate homecoming.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”  (John 14)

Jesus is preparing a place for us to go home to. It will be a homecoming like no other and we have the opportunity to be a part of it.

Are you living the life that God commands you to live? If you aren’t, then it is time that you get your life right because you do not want to risk missing out on eternity with Him. Heaven and Hell both are for eternity. It is your decision on where you want to spend it.

If you are reading this and you have never known Christ, we would love to have you get to know Him with us. Our life has changed since we have put God ahead of everything else and your life can too. Please reach out to a brother or sister in Christ and if you do not know one, I can get you in contact with one no matter where you live.

God is Good…
