It’s Sunday!
We all have those nights where we are just tired and feel overwhelmed. Nothing is going right and you just want to go to bed. Well, last night was one of those nights for me. We had a great night watching a movie with the family. Once it was time to gear down and head to bed, the night fell apart. I was one of the sources, if not the main source, of the night being complicated.
Most nights, I usually type my 30 Second Thoughts before I go to bed. Last night, I went to bed and didn’t have the motivation to do it. I thought, what does it even matter.
It’s now close to 2 am, I am up working on this post. Why am I working on it? Because it matters.
It matters to the person who is struggling with day to day pressures of life. It matters to the person who texts me that it helps them start their day each morning. It matters to the one who came up to me and thanked me for using this source to spread God’s Word.
It matters because there may be one person out there in the same boat I was in earlier and needs motivation in life.
You see, the devil works in mysterious ways. He was winning last night. I was on his side as I laid in bed with no desire to type a short devotional. He was winning as I chose not to try to help someone spiritually. The devil was in control and he was happy.
I woke up at 1:30 am knowing that I could not let the devil win. I had to stay strong in my faith and my goals of helping someone grow closer to Christ through my posts. I could not let the devil win.
It’s Sunday, as you lay in bed reading this post, or wherever you may be, get up and get some clothes on and attend a worship this morning. Each time you miss a service, the devil adds a point in his favor. We can’t let the devil win. Christ is the only way that we can beat the devil. We can’t do it alone. I hope to see you at church this morning!
God is good!
