Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
How hard is it to trust in God? How hard is it to put all of your trust in God?
In today’s world, it can be hard to trust people. It takes time to develop a relationship with someone that you have a solid foundation of trust. These type of friends are the ones that you run to when you are in need of help. Our relationship with God is very much like the ones we have with our friends except for more powerful. God has the ability to comfort our souls forever and not just at the moment.
We struggle with many things in life and we simply don’t know why. We spend countless hours stressing over what is going on and try to determine the reason why we are being dealt the issues we have been. We try to understand the scenario but we simply don’t. We go talk to friends. We even question God.
When we lean on our own understanding we tend to cause us stress, heartache, fear and doubt. They are the source of our anxieties. We get mad. We even get mad at God.
God does not want us to be depressed, upset, or miserable. That is why Solomon tells us to Trust in the Lord with all of our heart. Don’t lean on our own understandings but let God lead our life and he will direct our path.
If we are struggling with our faith, we need to sit back and analyze and see if we are really leaning completely on Christ. Is our faith strong enough to let God control our path? It may not seem like God cares but God knows what is best. God may not give you the answer you want at the moment but He knows when the best time to answer you will be.
Keep praying. Lean completely on Christ.
If you are struggling with anything in life, do not try to conquer it yourself. There are brothers and sisters in Christ that can help. We are here to help. God has placed us in each other lives for a reason. Let us be your comforter on earth and let God handle it all.
God is Good…
