Muddin

Growing up in a small town in West Tennessee we didn’t have a whole lot of things to do. We didn’t have the variety of daily activities that we have now that we are in Middle Tennessee. As a child and teenager, we had to think of stuff to do. We had our small town bowling alley, three screen theater, and skating rink but outside of that, we had to come up with our own activities.

One thing that we loved to do was go muddin’! This was a thrill to a lot of us because it was a manly competition. Who has the biggest and baddest truck! If one friend went through one mud hole, we went through one larger. The holes kept getting deeper and muddier until one of us got stuck. Once stuck, it was who could pull them out the easiest. If no one was around, we had to reach out to the friend that we knew could get us out quickly.

As a Christian, we’ve all been stuck in the mud. Our wheels spin and spin but we don’t go anywhere but deeper into the ruts. No matter what we do, we simply cannot get out of it. There are people around but no one seems to have the ability to draw us out of the muck that we are stuck in. At this point, there is only one way out and that is to turn all your pleading to God. God has the tools to get you out of any mess you are in and you just need to put your faith in Him and allow him to control your future.

Psalms 40: 1-2 I waited patiently for the Lord;

And He inclined to me,

And heard my cry.

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,

Out of the miry clay,

And set my feet upon a rock,

And established my steps.

If you are stuck in spiritual mud and need change, I encourage you to reach out God and pray for change to bless your life. If you keep spinning your wheels, you will only sink deeper and you want to get out before your engine blows. God will help you…We can help you.. Please let our Christian brothers and sisters be a part of your life and let’s reach Heaven together!

God is Good..
